Hole 5 - King's Step
This is the field name on the estate plan. There is no clear record as to which king it refers to. Was it a step on the way to Holyrood, or more likely a step by King Arthur on the way to Arthur’s Seat?
Pro Tip
A lay up is required here short of the hill to set up the tricky 2nd shot to the only hole on the course with no greenside bunkers. Aim a touch more to the right with second shot to allow for the slope around the green.
