Hole 11 - The Rigs
This refers to the original field name “19 Rigs”. In early farming, rigs referred to each separate strip of ploughed land, raised in the middle and sloping gradually to a furrow on either side.
Pro Tip
Shorter hitters aim over the marker post, longer hitters aim well left of post to keep ball on sloping fairway. Aim to the left side of green with approach to allow for the natural slope.
